Run for the Roses Beginning Riding Program
At RFTF, we are very excited to help your riders get in the saddle! Whether you have never been on a horse before or are looking to learn more and advance in your riding, we have the tools to get you started. We have a fantastic team of experienced instructors, as well as wonderful school horses. You can learn more about our horses on the "Meet our Horses".
At RFTR, our goal is to customize the perfect program for your riding needs. Lauren, our program coordinator, works hard to make sure our riders are well matched to their instructor and with the horses they ride. We want to work with so you can get the most out of your riding experience. We offer lessons at both Rose Hill Estates and Rose Dhu Creek Equestrian Center, and your lessons will be scheduled based on which situation is best for you. Lessons Prices
30 minute private lesson- $40
1 hour private/semi-private- $60
We also offer semester lesson packages.
Run for the Roses offers a semester lesson package for your convenience. No more paying as you go! The semester works and follows: The package includes 11 lessons for the price of 10 lessons. If the rider misses a lesson within the semester, he/she can use the 11th week as a make up. If the rider makes all 10 lessons, the 11th one is free!
Lessons are 1 hour or 1/2 hour in length. If inclement weather occurs and riding is not an option, a horsemanship lesson will be provided. Riding involves more than the experiences gained in the ring. Understanding of the horse, the equipment, and safety issues realted to the sport is a very important aspect of being successful and safe.
